Delgado Community College Athletics

 

For the past forty years, Delgado Community College’s baseball program has been one of the top programs not only in the state of Louisiana, but in the nation. As the first junior college athletic program in the state, Delgado prides itself on its family atmosphere, its image, and its tradition of excellence. Through the years, the Delgado Baseball program has served as a stepping stone for hundreds of local athletes to reach the next collegiate level, both academically and athletically.
 
Last season, Delgado captured its ninth Region XXIII Title in the past ten seasons and advanced to win its second consecutive NJCAA South Central District Championship, earning the college’s fourth (and back-to-back) berth in the Junior College World Series in Grand Junction. The 2015 Dolphins closed the season with a 33-16 record. The 2015 Dolphins were ranked in each national poll of the season, marking the fifth consecutive year in which the program finished as one of the nation’s Top 25 teams. Thirteen sophomores earned Associate's degrees while the entire team was recognized as an NJCAA All-Academic Team for their 3.0 cumuluative GPA. Twenty members of the 2015 roster advanced to four-year colleges across the country. We look forward to building on this momentum once again this season and continue to bring national exposure to Delgado Community College and Southeast Louisiana.
 
As a friend or alumnus of our program, you can speak first hand of what Delgado Baseball means to the community, how well it serves its student-athletes, and how it continues to impact the lives of many of our area’s athletes and their families. This season, our roster is composed of players representing twenty-nine local high school programs and hailing from twenty-six local zip codes and municipalities. Delgado Baseball is truly The Community’s Home Team.


2016 SPONSORSHIP LEVELS

Fence Sign: ($2500/three years + one-time $500 art fee) Sponsorship includes an 8’x20’ outfield fence sign at “Rags” Scheuermann Field at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium, the home of Delgado Baseball. In addition to hosting all of Delgado’s home games each Spring, the stadium hosts nearly 350 prep, American Legion, All-American Collegiate League, and fall league games each year. The sponsorship helps maintain the stadium and the playing surface so that the local baseball community can enjoy a first class playing facility.

Scoreboard Message Center Ads ($500 per season) Sponsorship includes displaying your message or company logo on the scoreboard message center  at “Rags” Scheuermann Field at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium. Because of the number of games played at the facility, your message will be run throughout not just the Delgado season, but during the entire stadium schedule.

Website Ads ($250/year, $500/year) Be a part of the one of the top websites in Junior College Athletics. A revamped and redesigned website will launch on December 9 and feature the latest in Athletic communication technology, including news, player and staff bios, schedules, Game Tracker play-by-play, social media integration, and more. Ad space appears on the homepage, which attracts hundreds of thousands of hits each season.

Program Ads ($50, $100, $250, $500) Sponsorship includes the placement of your personal or corporate ad in the 2015 Delgado Baseball game day program. The program will feature full page, half page, quarter page, or business card size and will be available at all Delgado Baseball home games during the season.
