Delgado split Saturday’s Miss-Lou conference doubleheader against Meridian Community College at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium.
 
In game two, Cody Deckwa threw a three-hit shutout, striking out three and walking two to pick up the win on the mound. Delgado was led offensively by Daniel Brockhoeft, who homered twice to drive in three runs. Angelo Bruno and Jake Fryman closed the Dolphin scoring with solo homers as Delgado picked up the 5-0 victory to earn a split and improve to 24-16.
 
In the earlier game, Meridian scored all five of its runs with two outs as the Eagles defeated Delgado 5-2. Pierce Liberta picked up his first loss of the season on the mound for Delgado.
 
The two teams will meet at 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Kirsch-Rooney for the third and final game of the weekend series.
